I/O Coin Tipbot

Send, receive and tip IOC through Telegram

This bot allows you to receive, store and send I/O Coin on / through Telegram.

!! This service is provided as-is. No refunds, guarantees or uptime promises. Do NOT use this as your main IOC wallet and only for tipping purposes !!
This service is to be used to tip Telegram members and reward them for their efforts and/or let them know about IOC.

💰 Get started

Create a deposit address or ask a friend to send you some IOC.

Use /deposit or /address in private chat with the bot to know your own address on the bot.

Then you can send funds to that address the same way as you usually transfer funds with your IOC wallet.

Use /balance in private to know how much IOC you have got in your account.
There is always a minimum of 1 IOC reserved in your wallet for transaction fees.

💁 Tipping

Once you have some IOC, share them with your friends. Use /tip @<user> <amount> Make sure to correctly tag your the person you are tipping with the @ sign.
You can only tip whole IOC’s.

ℹ You can tip multiple users at the same time, as long as the number of tagged users matches the number of provided amounts.

Example:

/tip @user1 amount1 @user2 amount2 @user3 amount3 ...

ℹ You can specify amount before tagging the user. And in a multi-tip, you can be free to specify amount wherever you want, as long as the amounts and users match.

Examples:

/tip amount1 user1

/tip amount1 user1 user2 amount2 user3 user4 amount3 amount4 ...

🌧 Rain

🆕 It is possible to rain on active users!

Use /rain <amount> [count]

The bot will send amount to each active member in the queue (everyone will get the amount you specify. It’s not shared among each other). Active means “people actively chatting”.

  • Maximum members count is 25 by default (used if count isn’t specified);
  • Minimum rain amount is 5 IOC per user by default;
  • Minimum members count is 3 by default.

If you specify count, the bot will rain on that many members, or if less members are active, on as many active there are.

Examples:

/rain 200

-> will rain 200 IOC each to max 25 most active members

/rain 100 15

-> will rain 100 IOC each to 15 most active members

use the RAIN feature with caution as it can drain your wallet instantly!

🌐 Withdrawal

Need to withdraw to your IOC wallet?

Use /withdraw <amount> <address>

Please double check your address before submitting, as we cannot undo that process.

⁉ Troubleshooting

My deposit address does not show the same amount as my bot /balance says in Block explorer

The bot uses “accounts” feature in the wallet. The wallet keeps track of the ins and outs of each account.
The bot is correct. Your address is only a deposit address and its online explorer balance won’t reflect your actual account’s balance.
Change addresses are used for tipping. This is also how exchanges work (with accounts).

Account migration

If you recently created a @username on Telegram, you may have noticed that your balance and deposit address have been reinitiated. This happened because your old account was based on your Telegram UserID.

Don’t panic! You can easily get back your IOC by using the /scavenge command in private. All your funds will then be moved from your UserID-based account to your @username-based account.

ℹ You need at least 5 IOC in your old account to scavenge it.

Changing account

Your IOC are tied to your @username or, if you have none, to your Telegram unique UserID. Please, be aware that if you change your @username, you lose access to your previously stored IOC.

In this case, you can:

  1. With your new @username, ask the bot for a deposit address;
  2. Switch to your old @username, withdraw your funds to your new deposit address;
  3. Switch back to your new @username and check that your IOC have been correctly transferred.

Losing @username

Your IOC are tied to your @username if you have one. In case you change your @username, we advice to transfer your IOC. If you lose your @username to another user (in case you change it and some other user sets his @username to your old @username), he will have complete access to your previous account on IOCtip.

Losing Telegram account

In case you delete your Telegram account and you’ve had a @username, you can create a new Telegram account with the same @username and have access to your funds. If another user takes over your @username, he will have full access to your account on IOCtip.

In case you delete your Telegram account and you’ve had no @username (which means that your IOC account was tied to your UserID), you lose access to that account with no possible recovery.
